I’m here to help rescue Ghana from the NPP’s mess – Ofosu Ampofo

Former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, is confident that his party will win the 2024 general elections.

Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo believes that the country is currently in a poor state under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), emphasizing the necessity for the NDC to work diligently to rescue the nation.

Speaking at Terminal 3 of Kotoka International Airport (KIA), the former NDC Chairman expressed his full support for his party and pledged to collaborate closely with the current party executives to secure victory in the upcoming elections

Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo had been abroad for a year-long medical checkup and was returning to Ghana.

“I am grateful to God for my safe return, and I want to thank H.E John Dramani Mahama, Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, and party Chairman Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia for their unwavering support during my challenging times. Many people supported me through this period,” he said. “I am back to contribute to Ghana’s development and to work hard, especially in the 2024 campaign, to take the country from the NPP, as the situation is deteriorating. People have been asking when I would return to help win power, and now I am here. I promise to work with my colleagues, especially the Party Executives, to achieve our goals.”

A large crowd of NDC supporters gathered at Terminal 3 in a jubilant mood to welcome their former National Chairman.

Ibrahim Mumuni, the Director of Operations for the Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement Ghana (ADAM-GH), remarked, “We are delighted to see our former Chairman today. Our joy stems from knowing that he will assist us in reclaiming power from the NPP.”
