A devastating road accident involving a car with registration number CR-553-16 has resulted in the loss of two lives and left 14 others in serious condition.

According to eyewitness Emma, a motorbike rider who witnessed the horrific incident. The accident occurred in the Hemang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region, near Jukwa.

Emma described the scene as “horrific” and said the car was traveling at a “top speed” before the accident occurred. “I was riding my motorbike when I saw the car approaching at a very high speed. It tried to overtake another vehicle, but lost control and crashed into a nearby small forest,” Emma recounted.

Tragically, a man in his 40s and his 2-year-old son were among the fatalities. The 14 individuals who sustained severe injuries have been rushed to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) for medical attention.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown, and police are yet to release an official report. However, eyewitness accounts suggest that excessive speed may have been a contributing factor. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
